Battery types:
There are two basic forms of batteries they are single use batteries and reachable batteries. The single use batteries cannot be used once it is drained. Single use batteries are called as primary batteries and this battery has a one life cycle. Rechargeable batteries can be recharged and used repeatedly. This reachable battery is called as secondary batteries.
Handling of batteries with care:
Batteries are used in most of the items from digital camera to kid’s toys. If you maintain the battery with great care, it will last for a long period. Before using the batteries read the instruction and use the battery which suits for the device. Insert the battery in the correct way and it must fits to proper positive and negative ends. Clean the contact surface of the battery using the cloth or eraser. Remove the drained battery from the device and dispose it. Before removing the battery switch off the device and thus the battery will last for a long period. Keep the battery at the normal room temperature.
Guideline for the disposal of batteries:
Most of the batteries are lithium and alkaline. All the everyday use Duracell 3 volt lithium batteries and the researchable batteries must be disposed with care.
